The honor roll is the page your donors read for one thing: their own names. Not to admire the design. Honor Roll Desk sets that list and checks it.
Names checked against last year
Every name, credit line and tier is checked before it reaches print. We check this year's list against last year's printed one: a name spelled differently a year ago, a household entered twice, a donor who moved tier, a donor your records now mark as deceased.
We never change a spelling on our own. Each conflict comes to your office on one short card, with the choice we recommend. You reply with a letter.
5. Spelled differently last year: Catherine Vail
The record gives “Catherine Vail”. Printed last year as “Katherine Vail” (Benefactors, p. 22, col. 2, line 29). One of the two is a typo; the list alone cannot say which.
A. “Catherine Vail” (the record) ← recommended
B. “Katherine Vail” (last year's book)
One of ten items on the approval card in the demo, for a made-up foundation.
No week lost to the list
Every year someone sits with the donor export in one hand and last year's book in the other, matching names. Couples entered two ways. Credit lines styled three ways. Tiers that shifted. That week goes to us.
The book looks cared for
Even columns. Long names that wrap under a hanging indent. No tier heading stranded at the foot of a column, and “continued” where a tier runs onto a new page. Set in your report's own typefaces, which your designer sends us.

Questions
Two pages of your published honor roll re-set, and a list of every inconsistency we found in it, each quoted with its page, column and line: the same donor listed twice, one name spelled two ways, couples styled more than one way, “Anonymous” counted two ways, tributes styled two ways, names out of order. Where a name has two spellings we quote both and call neither wrong.
No. The sample is built from your public report alone.
Print-ready PDF pages of the honor roll, set in your report's own typefaces, to place in your layout.
Not on our own. Style that your rules or your list already settle (a stray comma, a tribute set two ways) we fix and list for you. A spelling, an honorific, a household, a donor marked deceased: each comes to you as a choice on the card.
